Where to Find High-End Fashion in Paris’ Marais Neighborhood

Études Studio’s modernist neon sign stands out in the restrained Marais neighborhood it calls home. Nestled in a quaint, cobbled courtyard off Rue Debelleyme, this contemporary store is the headquarters of the fashion label, design studio and book publisher of the same name.

As artists, photographers and longtime friends, Études Studio founders Aurélien Arbet and Jérémie Egry sell a high-end range of clothes alongside a selection of Japanese stationery and sculptures. It’s easy to see why the duo has amassed an almost cult-like following: their sought-after ready-to-wear collections are bewitching. Jackets, denim and wide-brimmed hats are as restrained as they are experimental and are often color blocked with splashes of blue or red – an Études signature style.

In the sleek modernist-influenced store, designed by architecture whizzes Ciguë, the two also showcase limited edition artworks and produce an in-house quarterly photography newspaper. The space is home to an ever-changing roster of installations, too. During a recent Paris design week, the shop was part-transformed into a furniture gallery where the two unveiled the META table collaboration with Berlin-based designers New Tendency. All in Études regal blue, of course.
