A weak loonie (that’s the Canadian dollar, for those of you not in the know), means that there’s no better time than the present to visit. Here’s what to do in Toronto to make sure you covered the top attractions and activities.

Inarguably the symbol of the city, this tower provides stunning views on the sprawling metropolis around 4 million people call home. At over 1,800 feet tall, the CN Tower is feat of modern architecture, and was actually the world’s tallest free-standing structure from 1976 to 2010. If hanging out on one of its glass-bottomed observation decks doesn’t give you enough of a thrill, try the EdgeWalk. The tower’s newest attraction allows is a true Toronto bucket list activity that adrenaline-seekers to walk outside, around the circumference of the roof!

See a Leafs Game

Hockey is one Canada’s most loved pastimes and a huge source of national pride, so a trip to see the Toronto Maple Leafs at the Air Canada Center is an absolute must. After you get your fill of the ice, walk yourself down to the nearby Hockey Hall of Fame so you can brush up on your hockey trivia and stock up on memorabilia.

Get Some Ethnic Eats at Kensington Market

Toronto is heralded as one of the most multicultural cities in the world and its cuisine reflects this. The epicenter of Toronto’s ethnic cuisine is found at Kensington Market, the eclectic and historical neighborhood chock full of cafes and restaurants. However, despite the range of international options, a stop for poutine, the fries, gravy, and cheese curd combo that is a Canadian delicacy, is not to be missed. For some of the best in the area, head to Fresco’s Fish and Chips.

Go to the ROM

A visit to the Royal Ontario Museum, known affectionately as the ROM for short, is a must-do activity in Toronto. The hallowed museum underwent a massive renovation a decade ago and is filled with exhibits shedding light on Canada’s interesting history.

Head to Nathan Phillips Square

Nathan Phillips Square is the urban plaza that’s home to Toronto City Hall. While the large square is great for resting and people watching, its real attractions are the 3D Toronto sign (great for taking those vacation selfies) and ice skating rink (erected in the winter time).
