Nick Jonas on Challenges, Guilty Pleasures and Who He Loves to Travel With

Free time? That might be a foreign concept to Nick Jonas these days.

Fresh off producing and promoting a hit solo album, launching Safehouse Records with Demi Lovato, raising awareness for diabetes, and juggling acting roles on TV (“Kingdom” and “Scream Queens”) and film (“Goat”), the 23-year-old’s about to hit the road with Lovato for summer 2016 on their “Future Now” concert tour.

But when he does have free time, “I’m a big golfer,” says Jonas. “It puts me at peace.”

I get to wake up every day and do the thing I love.

Jonas took a few minutes from his busy schedule to answer questions from fans, for Vevo‘s “Ask:Reply,” as part of a partnership with Universal Music Group.

Fans were curious about his greatest challenge and regrets, while others wanted to know the meaning of turning “my chin music up,” a line in the runaway hit, “Jealous.”

What thrills him about being a musician is “the fact that it’s not a real job,” Jonas says. “I get paid to make music which is just about the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard. I get to wake up every day and do the thing I love.”

When it comes to exploring the world, “I genuinely love traveling with my brother, Joe,” says Nick Jonas. “We’ve been to some pretty cool places together … seeing different parts of the world, meeting different people, trying different food.”
