Singapore is a spectacular city. A city of sharp and constant contrasts, which perfectly blends old and new, temples and mosques sit in the shadow of skyscrapers, luxury condos back onto the jungle, and wild monkeys roam nature parks and reserves.
We sampled the romantic and adventurous sides of this city on our recent trip around the world with Star Alliance and Marriott TRAVELER.
For a little romance, we explored Gardens by the Bay for the Garden Rhapsody light and sound show. The nature park in central Singapore is well known for its grove of glowing supertrees.
We took a walk along Arab Street to find Masjid Sultan – the mosque is considered one of the most important in Singapore.
They said we would see wild monkeys at MacRitchie Reservoir Park, though this nature trail was well beyond expectations.
Megan and Mike Jerrard were solo travelers that met and fell in love. Now, they blog about their romantic adventures together at MappingMegan.com.
