The 1.5 hour drive from Boston to Cape Cod offers a scenic introduction to one of America’s oldest—and most charming—vacation destinations. Montreal to Ottawa

Distance: 125 Miles (2 hours, 15 minutes)

Canada’s capital of Ottawa, at the border of Quebec, is bursting with cultural importance. Grand Victorian architecture, world-renowned museums and a diverse population all boost the city’s famed quality-of-life ratings. Situated between the Ottawa River and the Rideau Canal, the setting lends itself to both warm-weather boating and bracing winter ice skating.

Seattle to Victoria

Distance: 75 miles (5 hours)

Board the passenger-only Victoria Clipper from Seattle, and enjoy a scenic ride to Canada’s “Garden City.” Located on the southern tip of Vancouver Island, Victoria is one of the oldest cities in the Pacific Northwest. Denver to Steamboat Springs
