QUICK GUIDE

WHEN TO GO

June – Aug.: Hot, sunny days make summer peak tourist season in Nashville.
April – May, Sept., Oct.: Cooler temps in shoulder months mean fewer crowds, plus vibrant fall foliage in Oct., though rain chances increase.
Nov.- March: Winter off-season is chilly, but snow is rare. Prices drop and holiday events and décor brighten city streets.

NEED TO KNOW

Visas: Travelers from outside the United States will need a valid passport, as well as ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization) eligibility or a full visa.
Money: Currency is U.S. dollars and ATMs are widely available.
Travel Health: Travelers (including U.S. citizens) should check for vaccinationproof of negative COVID-19 test and face mask requirements, as well as any travel restrictions before planning their trip. Before traveling, research and prepare for what to do if you get sick while away. Nashville has also developed the Good to Go program, to help visitors locate businesses committed to health and safety (look for the green music note decals displayed on storefronts), and there are plenty of outdoor activities, restaurants, bars and more for anyone concerned about social distancing.

GETTING AROUND

Getting Here: Nashville International Airport (BNA) is 8 miles east of downtown. Rent a car, take a private shuttle, ride the public bus or take a taxi (approx. $25) from the airport to downtown. Greyhound and Megabus stations are both found in the heart of downtown Nashville.
Getting Around: The best way to get around Nashville is by car; you’ll find easy access to ride shares and taxis if you don’t have a rental.
