One of our all-time favorite reasons to travel? Food — and we’re talking the kind that is definitely worth writing home about. It only gets better when you can stay on-site to enjoy it all.

Marriott Bonvoy polled our Insiders — our most well-traveled members — to get the scoop on which hotels and resorts have some of the best eats out there right now, offered at their restaurants, cafés and bars worldwide.

From French dining in Tokyo to Italian cuisine in Mexico City, here are some of our insiders’ current favorite spots for show-stopping fare.

As always, check for travel restrictions and closures before planning your trip.

The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, Autograph Collection

Boasting more than 3,000 rooms and a sprawling casino, The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, Autograph Collection is equally impressive when it comes to eats. Nearly two dozen dining options abound, ranging from fast casual to fine dining — and everything in between.

Ease into your afternoon with lunch at Hattie B’s Hot Chicken or Holsteins (burgers and shakes). Then enjoy an array of flavor-forward plates from NYC outposts of Beauty & Essex or Blue Ribbon. And then there’s the nightlife — a category composed of several bars and lounges here, including mezcal mainstay Ghost Donkey and The Barbershop Cuts and Cocktails.

Situated in Mexico City’s bustling Financial District, the Sheraton Mexico City Maria Isabel Hotel features several high-caliber dining choices. For an upscale evening, check out Ristorante Amici, where chef Julio Gomez helms a modern Italian menu with options like pasta, seafood, and of course, excellent gelato and espresso.

Keep the fun going with live music at Jorongo Bar, where mariachi bands perform on the regular, and come morning, travel in spirit to NYC with a stop at the Manhattan Deli Restaurant, a favorite for everything from bagels to pizza.

The St. Regis New York

This historic bar continues to hold steady as one of the most venerated dining and drinking dens across Manhattan — and for good reason. The storied King Cole Bar in The St. Regis New York was known as the first in America to serve the bloody mary cocktail (endearingly referred to here as the “Red Snapper”).

Kick things off with a starter like tuna tartare; then opt for heartier mains like masala-crusted lamb chops or Barolo-braised short ribs. For an evening of epic proportions, book table 55 — the only one that accepts reservations — to experience an exclusive chef’s tasting menu accompanied by pairings from the property’s esteemed wine cellar.

Mesm Tokyo, Autograph Collection

Located in the Minato City ward in the new WATERS Takeshiba Precinct, Mesm Tokyo, Autograph Collection is dedicated to giving guests a sensory experience via music, art, and of course, food.

Reserve at Chef’s Theatre, the hotel’s Parisian-inspired restaurant that features dishes melding French technique and seasonal Japanese ingredients. Those seeking steak — and lots of it — will do well with a table at Miyazaki Beef Ginza Miyachiku Takeshibaten, a terrace eatery featuring Miyazaki-branded beef in dishes such as teppanyaki, shabushabu and sukiyaki.

Top it all off with a visit to Whisk, where visitors can peruse a variety of handcrafted cocktails and Japanese Sarutahiko coffee.

The St. Regis Venice

Attention to detail reigns at this luxe Venetian-style restaurant where the team focuses on fresh, simple ingredients and precision on the plate.

Settle into the venue’s very own secret garden to soak up views of the Basilica di Santa Maria della Salute and San Giorgio Maggiore. Then take in the wide array of flavors: linguine with wild fennel and saffron, porcini and morel risotto, grilled lobster in peanut gratin, or beef tenderloin with rosemary and truffle.

Save room for dessert: Orders like the hotel’s signature tiramisu or Piedmont Walnut Tart (with Grand Marnier cream and figs) await.
