As a traveler, you can escape to an idyllic paradise at a hotel pool and take a break from the hectic pace of everyday life.
We’ve gathered the top hotel pools in the U.S., which feature stunning mountain views; adults-only infinity pools; and thrilling, family-friendly water parks.

The Westin Hapuna Beach Resort, Hawaii
The pools at this newly renovated Kohala Coast hotel are so incredible that they can only be rivaled by the panoramic ocean views you’ll enjoy while swimming. The heated, free-form family pool is 6,800 square feet, perfect for family fun — and lots of it. An adjacent children’s pool is ideal for the littlest adventurers.
The adult infinity pool is a pure respite, a glorious place to soak in the Hawaiian sunset over Hapuna Beach.
The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa, Arizona
Whether you want family fun at the pool or adult time, you’ll be covered at this Scottsdale resort. Dip into the Adventure Pool to splash around with the family or bask in the sun. For quiet retreat, visit the heated, adults-only Aqaumiel Pool, open 24 hours a day, with lap lanes, private cabanas and a hot tub.
At the on-site water park, you can surf in the desert with the Kierland FlowRider flowboard simulator or whiz down a 110-foot waterslide. After all the exhilaration, float the afternoon away in the lazy river, complete with its own private island in the center.
W Aspen, Colorado
After a day on the slopes or exploring the trails in Aspen, the rooftop Wet Deck at the W Aspen is the place to be. Relax and take in the 360-degree views of the Colorado Rockies while soaking those sore muscles in the hot tub.
Take a dip in the pool before grabbing a cocktail and some bites to take into the bright modern cabanas. Chilly? Cozy up to one of the fire pits, wonderful for taking the bite out of the crisp air.
JW Marriott Orlando, Grande Lakes; Florida
You won’t want to miss all of the fun at this recently renovated hotel, set on 500 lush acres, that now includes an incredible water park with a quarter-mile-long, 670,000-gallon lazy river; a calm lagoon with hot springs; three thrilling waterslides; and AquaVenture, a water adventure course.
There are plenty of places to relax, too. The Sanctuary, an adults-only island in the water park, has views of all of the busy happenings. At the south end of the water park, the Oasis, with its private plunge pool, fire pit and lounge seating, is a great place to relax with a drink after a day of fun. And you won’t want to miss bites from renowned chef John Tesar, who brings a fun take on burgers poolside with his restaurant, Knife Burger.
Sheraton Waikiki
There’s a reason guests love the pools at this beachside Hawaiian hotel. Breathe in serenity in the oceanfront Edge Infinity Pool as you watch the sunset and soak in views of Diamond Head and Waikiki.
The family-friendly Helumoa Playground pool has a waterslide and interactive fountain. Lounge around the pool with a cocktail and snack or a fresh cup of Honolulu coffee. Then take a dip in the two surrounding whirlpools.
