Must-See Vegas Clubs and Bars for Every Vibe

Considering that Las Vegas is the self-proclaimed Entertainment Capital of the World, it’s no surprise that there’s something for everyone. This is true for restaurants. It’s true for shows. It’s true for nightlife. And it’s true for lounges and taverns, too. In fact, no matter where in Las Vegas you visit, on the Strip or off, club and bar options abound. 

From sports bars to nightclubs, high-end bars to dives, many of the top clubs and bars in Las Vegas can be found in or near MGM Collection with Marriott Bonvoy destinations (coming soon to Marriott International’s portfolio of brands). Scroll down to see the best of the best.

Bars for Sports Fans 

Swanky sports bar Flanker Kitchen + Sports Bar, located inside Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, MGM Collection, is the perfect spot from which to watch a game. Dozens of televisions combine with an upscale food and drink menu to provide a welcoming atmosphere for sports fans. 

Football enthusiasts will also appreciate that Flanker is positioned right next to the walkway to the home stadium of the Raiders. 

Another spot that combines good food and great sports is Moneyline Pizza & Bar near the betting windows at ARIA Resort & Casino, Autograph Collection. Moneyline chefs cook up signature pizzas, appetizers, and salads seven days a week. Guests can enjoy the food with commanding views of the televisions and the BetMGM sportsbook or take the goodies into the sportsbook itself. 

Bars for Clubbers 

Some bars are livelier than others. Take Centra, for example, a happening and clublike bar in the center of the casino floor at Luxor Hotel & Casino, MGM Collection. Live DJs and colorful lighting create an energetic yet inviting atmosphere in this bar, and the result is a guaranteed great time. 

Also check out On the Record, which has a secret entryway off the main casino floor at Park MGM Las Vegas, a Tribute Portfolio Resort. Hidden by a record store entrance, the speakeasy nightclub contains a variety of rooms to suit different party vibes. Head to the patio to see the DJ booth inside a full-size double-decker bus, too. 

Another exciting venue on the Las Vegas Strip is The Mayfair Supper Club at Bellagio, a Luxury Collection Resort & Casino, Las Vegas. Though technically a restaurant, this hot spot also has an expansive bar. Grab a seat and enjoy the live music and dancing that unfolds on the stage in the center of the dining room. The pedigree of the space is baked in; before it was The Mayfair, this location was home to a popular nightclub. 

High-End Bars 

Fancy bars in Las Vegas are like blackjack tables — they’re everywhere. One great spot to have a delicious martini or Manhattan is The Talon Club inside The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, Autograph Collection. It’s essentially adjacent to the high-limit gaming salons off the main casino floors so, naturally, it attracts a more well-heeled clientele. 

The benefits of The Talon Club’s sophisticated location are plentiful: To start, the bar is stocked with the best top-shelf liquors and the vibes are considerably more private than they tend to be at the larger and more centrally located spots. 

A fan-favorite upscale option for both food and drinks is Bavette’s Steakhouse & Bar, a French-influenced steakhouse that whips up excellent old-fashioneds, martinis and other classic cocktails. Located in Park MGM Las Vegas, a Tribute Portfolio Resort, the restaurant’s aesthetic is moody yet inviting, with dim lighting, wood decor, velvet seating and art deco details. 

It’s best to make a reservation for a table at Bavette’s, but walk-ins can snag seats at the bar for a drink or a meal. 

Dive Bars 

The best dive bars in Las Vegas are off-Strip — the farther you get from the big resorts, the divier places get. 

Some of the best of the best are Red Dwarf near downtown, Evel Pie in the Fremont East district of downtown, and the Double Down Saloon in the University District. 

Among resort bars, Losers Bar inside MGM Grand Hotel & Casino is one for the ages. This no-frills, zero-pretension venue books live country music most nights of the week and regularly offers specials on bottled and draft beer. 

Also reliable for its divey nature and great food is Dick’s Last Resort inside of the Excalibur Hotel & Casino, MGM Collection, where you’ll have a dining experience like no other. The staff is not only encouraged to be rude to you but actually rewarded for it. Sit back, relax and try not to take it too personally — after all, it’s all in good fun. 

Bars for Fans of Old-School Vegas 

Some bars in and around Las Vegas carry the torch for what Vegas used to be; these are throwbacks to the Rat Pack era and an age when black ties and tuxedos were standard attire for a night on the town. Not surprisingly, many of these spots are downtown, a place many consider to be “Old Vegas” since hotels there are some of the oldest in the city. 

At the top of this list is Atomic, which lays claim to the first liquor license handed out in the City of Las Vegas. 

The bar at Hugo’s Cellar, right on Fremont Street under the Fremont Street Experience canopy of lights, is a close second. One of the best things about Hugo’s is the way standard martinis come with a heavy pour — the bartender will put a carafe with the overflow next to your glass. 

With a flair for the dramatic, the bar at Carbone, an Italian restaurant inside ARIA Resort & Casino, Autograph Collection, also has an old-world feel. Enjoy the opulent decor of the space — black-and-white tile floors and plush blue seating included. Close your eyes and you half expect Sinatra to join you for a toast.
