Benefits are a way of life as a Marriott Bonvoy® member. And there are now great opportunities for Marriott Bonvoy members to reap benefits at certain MGM Resorts destinations, including those in MGM Collection with Marriott Bonvoy.
All told, Marriott Bonvoy members can earn and redeem points at 11 MGM Resorts properties in Las Vegas alone, as well as five properties elsewhere (that’s 40,000 rooms total), including Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, MGM Collection in Atlantic City, New Jersey, and MGM Springfield in Western Massachusetts.
If you’re not sure why it’s worth signing up for a (free) Marriott Bonvoy membership, or if you’re already a member and aren’t sure how MGM Collection might benefit you, scroll down to read some helpful tips. These are seven ways Marriott Bonvoy members — at various membership tiers — can get the most out of their stays at MGM Collection destinations.
As always, check for travel guidelines and closures before planning your trip.
Rack Up Marriott Bonvoy Points and Redeem Them Around the World
Signing up for Marriott Bonvoy leads to all sorts of possibilities for earning and redeeming points through MGM Collection. When you book a qualifying stay through Marriott Bonvoy, you earn points you can use at any participating property within the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio.
Specifically at MGM Collection destinations, Marriott Bonvoy members also earn points on eligible spend, including room rate, in-room dining and mini-bar purchases.
In other words, you can earn points during a stay in Las Vegas and beyond — then redeem those points anywhere in the world.
Transfer Points Between Your Accounts
During your stay, you can also earn MGM Rewards points on your dining, gaming, entertainment and more. When these add up, you can transfer them to your Marriott Bonvoy account — and redeem them at more than 30 hotel brands participating in Marriott Bonvoy worldwide. You’ll get 8 Marriott Bonvoy points for every 10 MGM Rewards Points transferred.
You can transfer Marriott Bonvoy points to your MGM Rewards account, too. (Not an MGM Rewards member? Join now.)
Enjoy Priority Check-In at MGM Collection
Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Elite, Titanium Elite and Ambassador Elite members also get a spot in priority check-in lines at MGM Collection. This can come in handy on weekends in Las Vegas when MGM Collection properties are at their busiest.
So if you’re in one of those membership tiers, the next time you arrive for a stay at MGM Grand Hotel & Casino or The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, Autograph Collection, you can follow the Marriott Bonvoy signage to the dedicated priority check-in line. Marriott Bonvoy members at these three levels are also eligible for an Enhanced Room Upgrade for their stay, subject to availability at participating properties.
Even if you don’t have Platinum Elite status or higher, you can still enjoy a smoother check-in experience — download the MGM Rewards app to check in on your mobile device and go straight to your room, without waiting in line.
Get a Welcome Gift (of Points)
There’s nothing like a gift upon arrival to make you feel special. Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite members and higher receive welcome gifts when they check into their stay at MGM Collection in Las Vegas and beyond.
Gold Elite members receive 500 bonus points per stay, while members at Platinum Elite, Titanium Elite and Ambassador Elite levels get 1,000 bonus points or a $15 food and beverage credit per night. That’s enough to cover a coffee a day.
Redeem Points for Marriott Bonvoy Moments
The Marriott Bonvoy Moments program creates extraordinary moments matched to your specific interests, and there’s a dedicated page to check out Marriott Bonvoy Moments inspired by MGM Collection. Members have two options: They can bid Marriott Bonvoy points on Moments auction-style or redeem points for fixed-price experiences. And redeeming Marriott Bonvoy points for Marriott Bonvoy Moments at MGM Resorts properties can be particularly special.
Marriott Bonvoy Moments change from day to day, but past opportunities have included tickets to see a Cirque du Soleil performance and dinner at Nine Fine Irishmen (both located inside New York-New York Hotel & Casino, MGM Collection in Las Vegas), and tee time at Fallen Oak Golf Course and a suite stay at Beau Rivage Resort & Casino, MGM Collection in Biloxi, Mississippi.
These are experiences you and your loved ones will remember forever — like hitting jackpots in an entirely different way.
Sleep In with Complimentary Late Checkout
One of the best parts of a vacation is sleeping in. Marriott Bonvoy membership at certain levels nabs you late checkout — 2 p.m. for Platinum Elite and Titanium Elite levels and 4 p.m. for Ambassador Elite, subject to availability at participating properties.
That means you can stretch the most out of your departure day or sleep off the effects of a long night of partying at Pinky Ring by Bruno Mars inside Bellagio, a Luxury Collection Resort & Casino, Las Vegas.
If you’re visiting Las Vegas with kids, it also means you can spend the morning in the wave pool and the lazy river at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, MGM Collection, or sneak in a last-minute nap before your departure.
Enjoy VIP Treatment as an Ambassador Elite
Priority entry is a status symbol in Las Vegas, and many restaurants, buffets and casino cashiers have special queues for Marriott Bonvoy members with Ambassador Elite status.
Ambassador Elite members get priority reservations at select fine dining restaurants, which is especially convenient at hard-to-book eateries in Las Vegas.
Plus, Ambassador Elite members get VIP line access to select nightclubs for themselves and one guest — a nice benefit that can translate into easier entry into hot clubs in town, like On the Record at Park MGM Las Vegas, a Tribute Portfolio Resort. This tier can get discounts to select shows, like Cirque du Soleil, too.
Other perks include waived resort fees and complimentary self-parking. And if you’re looking to kick back and relax, you’ll be thrilled to find that this membership tier grants you priority access at pool cabanas, spas and salons.
Marriott Bonvoy members at the Ambassador Elite level are also eligible to score one free suite upgrade in Las Vegas per year. This benefit is subject to availability and limited to three nights — but if you can snag it, it’s a huge bonus when you’re traveling with kids or you just want to live like a high-roller.
Member benefits are subject to change; review current benefits before booking.
